National Indoor Hockey Finals

The National Schools and Clubs Junior Indoor Finals have been taking place over the past 2 weekends at various locations around the country. Leading the way were South Dartmoor CC, who won the U16 Schoolboys title against the best schools in England by beating South winners Trinity 2-1 in the final. Their U18 girls team narrowly missed out on a semi final place by a goal difference of 1.

In the clubs event, Ashmoor U16 boys made it to the final but just lost 2-1 to Havant, whilst Isca's U18 boys, U18 Girls, and U16 girls teams as well as Ashmoor's U16 girls all just missed out on semi final places.

Well done to all who represented their schools and clubs in these tournaments.

Boys training times on January 29th have been moved back 2 hours, U14 = 12 - 2, U15 = 2 - 4, U16/17 = 4 - 6

USA Summer Coaching Tour 2012
Academy International, a renowned sports education company in the U.S.A, is currently recruiting male and female hockey coaches to teach hockey to girls ages 10 to 18. 
On July 12th qualified individuals will have the opportunity to fly to Washington, D.C. to start an exciting 5-6 week tour of America.  Each week our staff will travel to a different American city, stay with friendly host families, and coach local school teams.  Other benefits will include:
Paid upfront cost of the return airfare.
Weekly wages up to $350 per week

England Trials for Devon Boys

Devon Schoolboys Tom Poustie, Max Ansell, Harry Skinner and Will Marsh were recently invited to England U16 Trials. Tom and Max have been invited to further Strength and Conditioning sessions, and along with Harry, further assessments in January. Will has been invited to the U15 development squad.

This is a fantastic achievement for these boys who have worked hard in the Devon Single System in order to achieve this.
